Set, Series, Sequence - 12 further drawings

I chose the following drawing to base the following 12 drawings on because i like the style and the rendering of the tentacles, i also like the dark background because it suggests a dark ocean floor.

I decided to draw the octopus from a slightly different angle and position but in the same medium and style. i like the shading on the head of the octopus but i think i should have made the reflected light darker and put more core shadows on the tentacles because i think they have a loss of form because of this. 

After this, i then decided to try painting the octopus in greyscale and then in blue, I think the blue one is  nice but i think the background should have been a lot darker because it damages the sense of atmosphere if the background isn't dark anymore.
